Repointing is the step that usually follows re-bedding. In this process, another layer of cement has to be applied on top of the previous layer to increase the hold of the tiles. The flexible pointing agent helps the roof endure inclement weather and hail-stones. However, it is very much dangerous if there is still any old pointing that’s remaining on the roof as it can slide off the roof after it has been knocked out of place.
